How is an IT consultancy consultant’s timesheet approved in Marvin?
In three steps: the consultant enters their days, by half-day, from their space; your team approves or rejects with a reason; then the client signs online, with no account, using a one-time code. An approved timesheet can be reopened for correction. The client’s purchase order number is entered on the assignment and carried onto the invoices; variable pay is still calculated in your payroll tool.
How does an IT consultancy produce its skills profiles with Marvin?
Marvin generates the consultant’s CV in your brand style from their record, with an anonymised version, as PDF or Word. Several CVs for the same requirement go to the client in a single email, with open tracking. Manual reformatting for every submission disappears.

Do an IT consultancy’s consultants on assignment need a Marvin licence?
No: they do not take a user licence. The licence covers the people who work in Desk, such as recruiters, sales staff or operations. Your consultants use their own space for timesheets, leave and expenses, and your clients sign timesheets through a link. For a consultancy that manages many consultants, the terms of the consultant space are set out in the quote.
Can an IT consultancy connect its internal tools to Marvin via an API?
Partly. The public API, documented at developers.marvins.ai, currently lets you list a client’s projects and stages, create candidates in them, read published jobs and submit applications to them, with a key of limited rights and a capped rate. Assignments and timesheets are not exposed yet. To query the whole database, the MCP server acts as a gateway for an AI assistant.
When a timesheet changes after the fact, can an IT consultancy’s invoice be corrected?
Yes. The invoice is generated as a draft from the approved timesheet, and you edit it before issuing it. Once issued, it can no longer be changed: corrections go through a credit note or a corrective invoice, as French invoicing rules require. Expenses marked as rebillable are added to the client’s invoice.
Do an IT consultancy’s consultants see day rates and margin in Marvin?
No. In their Marvin space, the consultant sees their assignments, the days they have entered, their documents and their own day rate. The sell day rate and the margin stay on the team’s side, with role-based permissions.
Can an IT consultancy manage freelance and umbrella-company consultants in Marvin?
Yes. Each assignment specifies how the consultant is paid, by day rate or by salary, and margin is calculated accordingly. The freelancer or their umbrella company uploads the monthly invoice on the assignment, from their space or through a link with no account, and your team reconciles it. Marvin does not generate SEPA payment files: payments stay in your bank or accounting tool.
Do an IT consultancy’s consultants request their leave and RTT days in Marvin?
Yes, from their space, once the feature is switched on by the firm: paid leave, RTT days (the French working-time reduction days), sick leave, unpaid leave or special leave, to the half-day. Your team approves the request, which then pre-fills the month’s timesheet. Marvin does not track leave balances: the counter stays in your payroll tool.
Can an IT consultancy with years of history migrate to Marvin?
Yes: candidates, consultants, companies, assignments, notes and documents are carried over. A Marvin data engineer audits your sources, merges duplicates and submits every clean-up rule to you before the import; nothing is loaded without your approval.
