Which recruitment software should a freelance recruiter choose when starting from an Excel file?
Marvin takes your file as it is, with no prior formatting: our data engineer deduplicates it, you approve the rules applied, and you log in to a tidy database. You can also start with an empty database and create records as you work, from LinkedIn in one click.
Is an ATS useful to a freelance recruiter who makes a dozen placements a year?
Volume matters less than memory: a recruiter working alone meets far more candidates than they place, and needs to find them again months later. Marvin searches the text of CVs and interview notes, and keeps candidates and clients in the same database. You avoid posting another ad for a profile you have already met.
Does Marvin require a commitment from freelance recruiters?
Yes, and we'd rather say so here than at the quote stage: the Marvin commitment is 12 months, billed annually or monthly. With annual billing, your data carry-over (worth €1,500) is free. The price is locked for the period, and beyond that, nothing is imposed on you.
Can a freelance recruiter try Marvin before committing?
Not as a free self-service trial. The trial runs on your own material: you send an export, even a simple Excel file, and the demo runs on your candidates and clients, free of charge and with no commitment. You then decide, knowing that the commitment is 12 months, whether billed annually or monthly.
Are Scout and Radar included in a freelance recruiter’s licence?
Scout is included in the Suite plan, with 500 enrichment credits per month; the Pro plan includes 250 credits, but not Scout. Radar, in beta, is included in Suite, not in Pro. If your credits run short, extra packs can be added to your subscription. A profile’s contact details are revealed when you ask, never automatically.
Can a freelance recruiter prospect for clients from Marvin?
Yes, it is the same tool. In Marvin, companies and contacts live in the same database as your candidates, with their own pipeline and LinkedIn, email and WhatsApp prospecting sequences. Radar, in beta and included in Suite, alerts you when a company you follow posts a job.
Can a collective of freelance recruiters share Marvin?
Yes: each member has their own licence in the same space, with a shared database and role-based permissions to decide who sees which records: their own, a team’s or all of them. When a member leaves, you deactivate them and their licence goes to the next person. However, a licence cannot be paused during the commitment period.
Does automating LinkedIn with Marvin put a freelance recruiter’s account at risk?
Marvin applies cautious quotas based on your type of LinkedIn account and random delays between sends. You see everything that goes out and you stop a sequence in one click.
Does a freelance recruiter need other subscriptions to automate prospecting with Marvin?
No. LinkedIn, email and WhatsApp sequences, message sync and automatic emails to candidates are built in: no third-party automation tool is needed. A free LinkedIn account is enough to start; a paid account only adds InMails and voice notes. Only paid job boards are paid separately, with your credits on those boards.
Can a freelance recruiter export their candidates to an Excel file?
Yes. Search results export as CSV, which Excel reads, with name, job title, company, contact details, LinkedIn, location and skills; this export is reserved for administrators and is switched on for your account upon request. A candidate’s record downloads as PDF or Word, full or anonymised. And your data remains yours: it can be exported at any time.
Can a freelance recruiter send a message to a whole group of candidates?
Yes. You enrol a list of candidates or contacts in a sequence, and each one receives their own message, personalised with their first name or job title, by email, LinkedIn or WhatsApp. Each message goes out individually from your own account, never as a group copy, and replies arrive on each person’s record.
Can a freelance recruiter’s Marvin training be funded by their OPCO?
Yes. Marvin training is delivered by our Qualiopi-certified training body (the French quality label) and can be covered by your OPCO, the French training fund. And the day you hire, you add a licence without changing tools.
