Migration · we migrate your entire history · free with annual billing Switch tools.
Without stopping the firm.

A Marvin migration brings your whole history over from your current tool, in about a month. Candidates, contacts, companies, history, notes, attachments: we take your database, deduplicate it and make it usable, while your teams keep working in the old tool until the day before the switch.

The process

Three stages.
Zero days of downtime.

During the switchover month, your teams work in their old tool. Marvin fills up in parallel. On D-Day, the data is already there.

  • We get your data wherever it lives.

D-30 · First exportWe help you get the export from your current ATS or CRM: CSV, Excel or a direct API export, depending on the tool.
  • We structure, deduplicate and configure.

Over one monthCustom fields, pipelines, integrations, user permissions. Your teams, meanwhile, carry on in the old tool.
  • The last export catches up on the past month.

D-1 · Final exportThe month's new data is brought over the day before. Live within 24 hours, on up-to-date data.

Frequently asked questions

Before you switch tools.

Can you change ATS without losing your history?

Yes. Marvin carries over candidates, contacts, companies, notes, histories and documents, whatever the original tool. A named data engineer audits the database and submits every clean-up rule to you before the import, while your teams keep working in the old tool. The migration is free with annual billing.

How long does it take to set up Marvin?

About a month, the time it takes to carry over your history. First an export from your current tool; then our team structures and deduplicates your data and configures your Marvin; finally, a last export the day before the switch, and your teams move to Marvin with up-to-date data. Until then, they keep working in the old tool.

Do we have to stop our current tool during a migration to Marvin?

No. During the switchover month, your teams keep working in their old tool. A final export, the day before the switchover, brings over everything that happened in the meantime.

How much does bringing our data into Marvin cost?

Bringing over your data is worth €1,500, and it's free with annual billing.

What format should our data be in for a migration to Marvin?

Whatever your tool can produce: CSV, Excel, or a direct API export. We help you request it from your vendor.

Does the migration to Marvin handle duplicates and messy tags?

Yes. Records are deduplicated, job and skill tags are normalised, and the phone numbers and emails found in CVs are extracted onto the records.

What is left for the firm to do during a migration to Marvin?

Three things: ask your current vendor for the export, approve the test environment, and decide how fields and stages map across. Marvin handles the rest.
